Mauritania’s Constitutional Council Takes over the Presidency of the Union
 According to Article 17 of the Union statute which states that “The president of the Union shall be chosen alternatively and for two years for presidents of the constitutional courts and councils and supreme courts members to the Union according to the alphabetical order of their Arab states. The president of the next session shall be the vice president of the Union,” the Constitutional Council of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, represented by His Excellency Justice/ Asgeir Ould M’Barek, president of the Council, becomes president of the Union for this session and the vice president of the union is the Supreme Court of Yemen, represented by His Excellency Justice Dr. / Issam Abdel Wahhab Elsamawy, president of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Judicial Council in the Republic of Yemen for two years.
 The Secretariat General avails this opportunity to thank the Constitutional Council of the Kingdom of Morocco and Justice Dr./ Mohammed Ashragi, president of the Moroccan Constitutional Council, for the fruitful period of his presidency, as he devoted a lot of his experience and efforts to the Union.
